Fate / Apocrypha is a Japanese light novel series from the TYPE-MOON Fate / stay night franchise. The story takes place in a world parallel to the original Fate / stay night, where the House of Einzbern invoked Ruler rather than Agerger in the Third Holy Grail War, and the Holy Grail was removed from the city Fuyuki to send him to Romania after the war. Thus, the events of Fate / Zero and Fate / stay night never took place.
