Design Ukraine Flag Text
The Ukrainian flag is a banner consisting of two horizontal bands of equal size, blue and yellow. The current design was adopted in 1992, when Ukraine gained independence from the Soviet Union. The blue stripe represents the sky, while the yellow stripe represents the wheat fields that are so prevalent in Ukraine. The combination of these two colors is often called "golden yellow" In addition to its official status as the national flag, the Ukrainian flag is also flown by Ukrainian embassies and consulates around the world. It is also a popular symbol of Ukrainian nationalism and is often displayed at public demonstrations and political rallies.
