Erling Haaland is a Norwegian footballer who currently plays as a striker for English club Manchester City. He previously played in Germany with Dortmund, then with Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg and the Norwegian national team. Born in Leeds, England, Haaland started his career with Bryne FK before moving to Molde FK in 2017. He then transferred to Salzburg in 2019. Haaland is known for his prolific goalscoring, physicality and work ethic. In 2020, he was named winner of the Golden Boy Award and was nominated for the Ballon d'Or. Haaland has been compared to former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy and touted as one of the best young strikers in the world.
