Illustration of Ariel, a fictional character who appeared for the first time in the animated feature film The Little Mermaid (1989). It is inspired by the character of Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid. The character appears in the sequences of the film released directly on video: The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Ocean (2000) and The Secret of the Little Mermaid (2008) and a television series, The Little Mermaid. She is part of the Disney Princess franchise.
