Kimi Raikkonen is a Finnish racing driver who competes in Formula 1 for the Alfa Romeo Racing team. Formula 1 world champion in 2007, he won 18 Grands Prix and stood on the podium 103 times during his career. Raikkonen made his Formula 1 debut with the Sauber team in 2001, and quickly established himself as a talented driver. In 2003 he joined the McLaren team and won his first race with the team at the Belgian Grand Prix that year. Raikkonen's time with McLaren was marked by consistent success, and he won the world championship in 2007. In 2009, Raikkonen left Formula 1 to compete in the World Rally Championship, but returned to the sport in 2012 with the Lotus team. Since returning to Formula 1, Raikkonen has been one of the sport's most popular drivers, thanks to his aggressive driving style and dry sense of humour. In 2019, Raikkonen joined the Alfa Romeo Racing team, and today he remains one of the best drivers in Formula 1.
