Zack was a member of the elite military group known as SOLDIER, and he immediately took a liking to Aerith. He started visiting her frequently and the two quickly became friends. Over time, Zack began teaching Aerith about the world outside of Midgar, and he even shared his dream of one day leaving town and seeing the world. Unfortunately, Zack's dream never came true; he was killed on a mission when he was only 24 years old. Nonetheless, his love with Aerith had a profound impact on her life, and she will always remember him fondly.
