Authorities say the disaster is due to the fall of an asteroid. Fifteen years later, Humanity overcame this event, called the Second Impact. But mysterious creatures named Angels make their appearance, and try to destroy Tokyo-3, the new capital-fortress of Japan built after the Second Impact.
